Rescheduling Flights
To provide you with flexibility for your travel plans, we’re offering you the following options to choose what best fits your travel needs.
- Remain on your current flight.
- We recommend you continue to monitor your flight status for the most up-to-date information using My Trips on delta.comor on the Fly Delta app.
- Please note your current flight reservation will remain if you choose not to make any changes.
- Change to a different flight.
- If you select this option, you may make a one-time change and we will waive any applicable change fee.*
- To change your flight, visit My Trips on delta.com and click on “Modify Flight”.
- Choose “Start Flight Change” and select which flight you would like to change to search for a new flight.
- The change fee will display initially, however, once you select your new itinerary the change fee will be waived prior to checkout.
- Note, if changes are made to the originally ticketed cities or rescheduled travel occurs beyond the guidelines, the change fee will be waived, however, a difference in fare may apply.*
- You may choose to cancel your trip, and use the value towards a future flight.
- You may cancel your flight and apply any unused value of the ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket for a period of one year from the original issue date.
- Applicable change fee and fare difference will apply for new travel dates and will be collected at the time of booking the new ticket.
- To cancel your flight, visit My Trips on delta.com and click on “Modify Flight” then choose “Start Flight Cancelation”.
In the event your selected flight is canceled by Delta, we will contact you with additional information.
*When rescheduled travel occurs beyond March 17, 2019, the change fee will be waived. However, a difference in fare may apply. Final travel must be completed by end of ticket validity, one year from date of original issue. If travel is not able to be rescheduled within these guidelines, customers may cancel their reservation and apply any unused value of the ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket for a period of one year from the original ticket issuance. Applicable change fee and fare difference will apply for new travel dates. Final travel must be completed by end of ticket validity.
Conditions & Restrictions
Eligibility only for customers with an Original Ticket Issue Date on or before March 12, 2019. Changes to origins and destinations may result in an increase in fare. Any difference in fare between your original ticket and the new ticket will be collected at the time of booking.

You can no longer wear glasses in your US passport photo

WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department is banning passport and visa applicants from wearing eyeglasses in photos taken for the documents.
In a notice published Friday, October 14, 2016, the department said that effective Nov. 1, applicants must remove glasses for passport and visa photographs.
It says the step is being taken to “eliminate glares and shadows” that can cause delays in processing the applications and to ensure consistent photo standards. Only in rare circumstances, if applicants have “documented medical necessity during urgent travel” will glasses be allowed.

In 2015, more than 200,000 poor quality photos were submitted, and caused applications to be put on hold. The U.S. Passport Services notice said glasses were the No. 1 problem.
The department says it expects to process a record number of passports — more than 20 million — in the current budget year that ends next October.
No, you don’t have to get a brand new passport right now, but next time you renew, you’ll have to take your glasses off.

No Glasses Allowed, Starting November 1st
Beginning November 1st, 2016, customers applying for or renewing their passport must remove glasses for their passport photo.
Last year, more than 200,000 passport customers submitted poor quality photos which we couldn’t accept. The #1 problem was glasses. We had to put their passport applications on hold because we couldn’t clearly identify them from their photo.
If the photo of you in your unexpired passport has glasses, don’t worry about it. You don’t have to get a new passport now. Next time you renew your passport, though, you’ll have to take your glasses off.
This policy change helps us and it helps you. We can see you more clearly now and you will experience fewer passport application delays and can move faster through U.S. ports of entry. Don’t get us wrong, we love your glasses, but take them off for your passport photo.*

Picture Perfect Passport
It is Passport Awareness Month and the U.S. Department of State wants you to have a picture perfect passport.
Bad photos are the #1 reason passport applications get held up during the application process. In 2015, we received more than 200,000 unacceptable passport photos! Submitting a passport application with a bad photo will delay processing your application and could interfere with planned travel.
That’s why during the month of September the U.S. Department of State is promoting the #PicturePerfectPassport campaign on our @TravelGov Twitter handle and the Bureau of Consular Affair’s Facebook page.
Save yourself the anxiety of delays and make sure you’re not making these mistakes!
1. Glare on glasses
It’s tough not have glare on your glasses. It’s actually more common that you think. Glare can appear even when the camera doesn’t flash. So, it may be easier to take them off. Starting November 1, eye glasses will no longer be allowed in passport photos.
2. Overexposed or Underexposed
Photos that are too bright or that show shadows on your face will also cause you problems. Your photo needs to be clear, reflecting your true skin tone. Remember, photo filters are good for social media, not your passport photo.
3. Photo is not recent
Your passport photo needs to have been taken within 6 months of submitting your passport photo. We verify that the photo looks like you. So, save your old photos for throw-back Thursdays.
4. Image size
Selfies are a bad idea when it comes to passport photos. Photos that are taken too close or too far away will be rejected. For help, use our smart photo tool.
5. Low quality image or paper
Photo is blurry, grainy, pixelated, or printed on the wrong paper. Photos should be high resolution and not damaged.
